Terroir & Merroir Tutorials at ICOB

Let the shuckers at Island Creek Oyster Bar show you a thing or two about oysters and wine at their freshly launched education series. Starting on Sunday, January 15th (and recurring on the third Sunday of the month thereafter) a rotating roster of sommeliers and shellfish farmers will school you in the varied ways that geography and climate (on dry land and in the briny deep) impact the flavors of both wine (terroir) and oysters (merroir). The educational gatherings run from 2:00-3:00pm and cost $35 per person, which cover sampling of six oyster varieties and their wine pairings.
